Domestic Abuse Intervention Services

DAIS runs the only domestic violence shelter in Dane County. The DAIS Emergency Shelter program offers housing, food, clothing, support and resources for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

ELCA World Hunger

More than 820 million people – that’s about 11 percent of people in our world today – are hungry.

As members of the ELCA, we are called to respond. We are a church that rolls up our sleeves and gets to work.

Madison Area Jail Ministry

Jesus asked his followers to “Stay here and keep watch” (Mark 14:32).  He was asking his friends to join him in prayer.  The Madison Area Jail Ministry is asking for you to keep watch with us during this Lenten season. We especially would like your prayers as we restart our in-person church services during Holy Week.  Please join us from Sunday, April 10th – Easter Sunday, April 17th, as we join in prayer for the common purpose of keeping watch with Jesus, and the men and women who live, work, and minister in the Dane County Jail.

McFarland Community
Food Pantry

We seek to provide for the hungry in our community by supporting the McFarland Food Pantry. We collect dry goods, canned goods, and personal care items in a grocery cart located by the main offices. We also invite the members and friends of this congregation to provide monetary support
and /or volunteer.

The McFarland Community Food Pantry is located at 5404 Anthony Street in McFarland. Normal pantry hours are 3 – 6 pm on Mondays and 9 – 10:30 am on the third Saturday of the month. Participants are encouraged to come during those hours. The building will not be opened before the volunteer staff arrives. Home-delivered groceries are available to the home bound.

Skaalen Home

Skaalen Retirement Services is one of Dane County’s largest long-term and rehabilitative care facilities, and provides a continuum of nursing care, restorative therapy and housing options to more than 800 older adults and their families every year. Located on a 110-acre campus in Stoughton, Wisconsin, Skaalen offers Christian-based care through the support of staff, member congregations and on-site pastoral care staff.

We have a long history of supporting and ministering to the elderly at the Skaalen Home in Stoughton. Our pastors have been members of the Board of Directors. We provide pastoral and lay visitation to the elderly as well as multiple opportunities to volunteer at the home.
