CLM Programs

Child Life Ministries is licensed to serve 80 children at one time.
We offer a variety of preschool classes, full-day childcare and are also a Public 4K site.

Preschool

Our preschool classes are a 9-month, play-based program focused on learning through play while helping children build social, emotional, fine motor and early academic skills in a nurturing environment. Each classroom is led by two teachers.

Tot Spot (2.5 to 3 Yrs.)

This is the perfect introduction to school where children explore, play and begin building friendships.

Tuesdays & Wednesdays | 8:45–11:15 AM

3 Yr. Old Preschool

(must be 3 by Sept. 1) A play-based class that provides a nurturing environment where children build friendships and develop the confidence and skills needed for 4K readiness.

All enrollment is done through the McFarland School District

Rainbow Child Care Center

Rainbow Center South (Ages 3-4)

A state-licensed childcare program established in 1992 for children enrolled in our preschool program. We maintain a 10:1 student-to-teacher ratio, with two teachers in the classroom throughout the day. Care is available year-round.

Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Full-time and part-time available (includes preschool)

Rainbow Center North (Ages 4-5)

A state-licensed childcare program established in 2015 for children enrolled in 4K. We maintain a 14:1 student-to-teacher ratio, with two teachers in the classroom throughout the day. Care is available year-round.

Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Full-time and part-time wrap care available

School Age Care

Our School Age Care program provides care for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. The program is held in the McFarland Lutheran Church and transportation is provided from McFarland schools to CLM during the school year. Care is available year-round.

Fall Hours: Monday–Friday | 2:45 PM–5:30 PM

Summer Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM

Holidays, Vacation and Staff Developement

Child Life Ministries attempts to follow the same holiday and vacation schedule as the McFarland Public Schools. A school calendar of events and holidays is given to each family at the Family Orientation or time of enrollment. We do not follow McFarland Public School’s in-service schedule.

We will be closed 3 days per year due to the need for staff development time. These dates are noted on your CLM calendar. The staff uses this time for continuing education as well as preparation.

The School Age and Rainbow Center program will be closed all day on the following holidays (or a chosen day should the holiday fall on a weekend):
